Below is the top ten of “View From The Dugout ‘s” findings.

10. Tony Pulis (£209.5million)

This is a surprise indeed. Over the past few seasons at the Hawthorns he has brought in the likes of Nacer Chadli for £13m, Salomon Rondon £12m and Jack Livermore for £10m.

Pulis has managed Stoke, Crystal Palace and West Brom in the Premier League.

9. Andre Villas-Boas (£253.79million)

After living FC Porto on a high note, AVB had two high-profile roles at both Tottenham and Chelsea.

Villas-Boas brought in the likes of Roberto Soldado (£26.4m), Paulinho (£17m) and Erik Lamela (£30m).

Whilst he also brought in stars to Stamford Bridge after signing Juan Mata (£26m) and Romelu Lukaku (£20m).

8. Roberto Mancini (£267.2million)

Stand out signings from Mancini’s era include the arrivals of Sergio Aguero (£35m), Yaya Toure (£24m) and Samir Nasri (£24m).

7. Louis van Gaal (£290.15million)

The former United manager stand-out signing Angel Di Maria was brought in by Van Gaal for £59.7m but he departed the following year to join Paris Saint-Germain for £44m.

6. Sir Alex Ferguson (£292.59million)

The Manchester United legend spent just over £2.5m more than LVG over the last ten years in the Premier League.

One of his biggest flops was Anderson, who turned out to be one of Fergie’s most expensive signings costing him around £26m.

5. Mark Hughes (£338million)

The current Stoke boss was one of the first few managers to benefit from City’s cash rich owners.

He dramatically signed Robinho in spectacular fashion on deadline day for £32.5m whilst also bringing in Carlos Tevez for £25.5m.

4. Brendan Rodgers (£351.677million)

The Welshman had spells at both Swansea and Liverpool in the Premier League but the majority of his spending was during his time at Anfield.

Signings he did bring in were Christian Benteke (£32.5m), Nathaniel Clyne (£12.5m), Roberto Firmino (£29m), Dejan Lovren (£20m) and Adam Lallana (£25m) – who are all part of the first-team nowadays.

3. Manuel Pellegrini (£353.702million)

Kevin De Bruyne (£54m) and Fernandinho (£30m) have proved to be worth every penny of their price tags.

But the same cannot be said for some of Pellegrini’s other signings with the likes of Eliaquim Mangala (£31m) and Wilfried Bony (£28m) failing to meet expectation.

2. Arsene Wenger (£457.155million)

Arsene Wenger has been slammed during his spell as Arsenal boss for being afraid to splash the cash.

But as frustration has grown at the Emirates he has gone on to spend big money with the arrivals of Alexis Sanchez (£33m) and Mesut Ozil (£42.5m).

1. Jose Mourinho (£473.950million)

It’s no surprise to see the Special One as the biggest spender over the past ten years in the Premier League, but it was last summer’s signings which boosted him to the top.

The record signing of Paul Pogba (£89m) as well as the arrivals of Eric Bailly (£30m) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£30m) meant he surpassed Wenger.

Whilst Mourinho also spent big whilst he was at Chelsea with signings of Diego Costa (£32m), Willian (£30m) and Cesc Fabregas (£27m).
