School games: All defending champions through to semi-finals in Kwale

All defending champions are through to semis

All defending champions in various disciplines made it to the semi-finals as Kwale County secondary schools Term Two ‘B’ games entered its second day yesterday at Msambweni Secondary School.

In volleyball boys, title holders and the Coast regional champions Waa Boys High School powered their way to the semi-finals after they dismissed Kinango and former county champions Mivumoni with an identical score of 3-0.

Shimoni also made it to the final after they floored Msambweni 3-0 and went ahead to register the same score against Mazeras.

In other matches, Msamwbeni recovred to hit Mwaluphamba while Kinango beat Mwananyamara 3-0. Mwaluphamba defeated Mazeras 3-0 while Mwananyamara hit Mivumoni 3-0 in another preliminary match.

In boys’ football, Mkongani qualified for the semi-finals after beating Msambweni 1-0 in the opening match before clobbering Lunga Lunga 5-0. Shimba Hills drew 0-0 with Ramisi before squeezing a 1-0 win over Shimoni. Msambweni beat Samburu 4-2. Ramisi thrashed Ndavaya 3-0 while Lunga Lunga beat Samburu 1-0.

In girls’ football, the rivalry between champions Waa Girls and Kwale Girls remained evident with both teams winning their opening ties.

Defending champions Waa Girls went on the rampage to humiliate Ngozi 6-0 in one sided match.

However as the champions celebrated their victory, Kwale Girls made it to the semi-final after they thrashed Franz Josef 6-0 and went ahead to trounce Rondwe 7-0.
