Man killed after argument over boiled goat head

A man in Kabartonjo lost his life after a brawl with a meat shack owner on Thursday evening.

Felix Limo, 30, is said to have ordered boiled goat head and ugali at the premise before engaging in an argument with the owner.

According to Evans Kemboi, a witness, a melee ensued and there was a loud scream.

“After finishing the meal he went to the kitchen where the owner was preparing orders for other customers.

“After a few verbal exchanges between two, we heard a loud scream followed by silence,” Kemboi said.

Area police sub-county commander Fredrick Odinga confirmed the incident saying they were hunting for the hotel owner who disappeared after the incident.

"A brother to the deceased reported the incident this morning and when the officers went to the makeshift hotel, they found the body. We are looking for the hotel owner,” Odinga said.

Police suspect the deceased was hit with a blunt object on the head.

The body was removed and taken to Baringo County Hospital morgue where a postmortem will be conducted.
