The Lake Naivasha Water Users Association has expressed concern over the destruction of papyrus reeds around the lake.
The destruction comes amid receding water levels and claims that some flower farms have been releasing chemicals into the lake.
The association's chairman Enock Kiminta said fluctuating water levels and human activities had contributed to the decline of the reeds. He said the reeds were efficient filters and habitat for fish and wildlife.
