With seven goals in two matches, Situma is likely to realise her dream of lifting Golden Boot Award in the Championships.

In the match against Kilifi, Situma put her name on score sheet when she hit the target just four minutes into the match. Her other goals came in the 46th, 54th and 70th minutes.

Lilian Busolo (45th) and Joy Wafula (71st) scored one goal apiece in Njenga’s rout of Kilifi.

Situma said: "My dream is to help Njenga win the Championship and score as many goals as possible to lift Golden Boot Award."

In the boys’ category, Western champions Mumias Muslim showed why they should be ranked among the title favourites when they beat County of North Eastern 3-2 in a Pool B encounter.

Mumias made a memorable debut in the games after they defied a partisan cheering crowd to beat hosts Nairobi Milimani 3-1 in their first match.

It was double loss for Milimani following dismissal of Austin Imbuchi in the 61st minute following bad challenge against an opponent.

Muslim took the lead when Salam Ibrahim converted a close range cross in the 11th minute. Milimani restored confidence of their fans when dangerman Lemmy Otieno found the equaliser five minutes later for 1-1 tie at half time.

Bakari Okutoyi’s 48th minute header and Justus Mudimba’s last minute drive sealed the victory for Muslim.

Milimani’s wish to recover and regain confidence of home fans failed after they were held to a barren drawn by Central Province representatives Chania in their second match yesterday.

In another girls’ match, Nairobi representatives St Teresas were held to barren draw by Nyanza giants and cup holders Jera in a match graced by Director Quality Assurance and Standards at the Ministry of Education Enos Oyaya.
