After finishing the 2021 WRC Safari Rally for the first time, Cliff Laban Onserio is eyeing to win Eldoret Rally Championships coming in the next three weeks.

Onserio, who was a co-driver to Rio Smith in a Ford Fiesta, finished 26th overall was among the Kenyan drivers who finished last week’s WRC Safari Rally Championships.

“Finishing the rally with its toughness and roughness after driving thousands of kilometers in a closed circuit was no joke but a great milestone that has actually prepared me for the Kenya National Rally Championships this season,” said Onserio.

The top Kenyan driver in the championship was Onkar Rai who was co-driven by Drew Sturrock in Volkswagen Polo after emerging seventh overall ahead of Karan Patel in Ford Fiesta(8), Carl Tundo/Tim Jessop in Volkswagen Polo GTI(0), Jasmeet Chana/Ravinder Chana in Mitsubishi Lancer Evo(13) and Dilraj Chathe/Henderick Fourie in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X(14).

Onserio says he has now shifted his focus to Eldoret Rally and Machakos Rally as well as the Arusha Rally.
