This is the first rally that the former Prime Minister will be attending since announcing his withdrawal from the repeat presidential election scheduled to take place on October 26.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday evening (October 10), Raila said it is only through his withdrawal from the showdown that the country will have a credible, free and fair election as per the law.

The former Prime Minister left the country Wednesday night for the United Kingdom where he gave an address on the political situation in Kenya.

Upon arrival in London Raila met with the global head of the Anglican Church, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and later with Lord Mark Malloch Brown, a former British minister of African Affairs.
