The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) says the process to recover 26 acres of land that hosts Nyabola Girls Secondary School in HomaBay County is nearing its end.
The authority on Friday, May 26, oversaw a boundary determination exercise led by the Rachuonyo Sub-County surveyor and officials from EACC and from the office of the Land Registar.
Nyabola Girls Secondary School started in 1968 as a public school but has since been privatized and changed the name to Nyabola SDA Secondary School.
Investigations by EACC show that the land was individuals at the Kenya Lake Conference of the Seventh Day Adventists of South Kenya Lake Field Area deceptively acquired it.
The land was then converted for personal use and has seen the construction of an SDA church building, a school and residential houses.
