NSL: Migori Youth bag three points but sanctioned for Darajani Gogo crowd trouble

National Super League side Migori Youth have been sanctioned by the FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee following crowd trouble witnessed during their National Super League match against Darajani Gogo.

Last Saturday, its alleged that members of the Darajani Gogo staff and the media team were assaulted and their equipment damaged by home fans.

The committee on Wednesday stated that after reviewing the incidents, they have imposed a five-match home ban to Migori Youth and a fine of Sh200,000.

Migori Youth has also been directed to pay their day’s opponents damaged iPhone 14 and media equipment and reimburse the medical expenses incurred within fourteen days.

However, the 1-0 victory by Migori was ratified.

Migori Youth vs Darajani Gogo verdict

The full-time result of the match shall remain as Migori Youth FC 1, Darajani Gogo FC 0.

Migori Stadium is prohibited from hosting the next five (5) Migori Youth FC home matches, which will be played behind closed doors.

Migori Youth FC is directed to pay Darajani Gogo FC for the damaged iPhone 14, media equipment, and reimburse medical expenses incurred within fourteen days (14) of this decision.

Migori Youth FC is obliged to pay a fine of KES 200,000.
