Women premier league side Oserian Ladies beat new comers Leeds Kisumu 4-1 over the weekend.

Jacinta Auma scored a brace to help her team past the hosts and take home three points in their last match of the first leg to end the Kisumu tour on a high.

Juliet Muhehe scored the opener just seven minutes into the match to give the Naivasha based side a 1-0 lead in a fixture palyed at  the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Grounds, Kisumu.

Oserian head coach Johnson Mukhwana was a happy man after earning the six points away and finishing the first leg with the two wins.

“It was a successful outing in Kisumu and I give credit to all my players who coordinated very well to register the wins,” said the tactician.

Deserved break

He added: “We will take a two-week break in order to prepare for the second leg. I will use the opportunity to recruit new players in the team to prepare well for the league. I will bring on new blood in the defence that has not been stable throughout the first league with three players, one striker and a midfielder.”

This is the first time Oserian is taking part in the premier league after participating in the second league tie division one last season and qualified from the Eastern Zone.

Kakamega Muslim put their sorrows of losing 2-0 behind after the Saturday encounter against Mombasa based Spedag to beat Kilifi based side Moving the Goal Post 2-0.
