As someone who leans more towards a smart casual wardrobe, I was pleasantly surprised when I fell in love with Kamala Harris’ style. The US Vice President-elect, who takes office later today, has redefined the power suit making it new, stylish and a must-have for any fashion lover.
Harris is a woman of many firsts. She is the first woman vice president, first Black woman and first person of South Asian descent to serve in that capacity.
During her campaign with President-elect Joe Biden, she graced podium after podium in a suit, sometimes switching it up to jeans, a blazer and sneakers. I was particularly drawn to how well-fiting and perfectly tailored her suits were/are, complimenting her figure precisely.
She keeps her accessories quite simple and understated, opting for a simple necklace and earrings, and of course, considering the times we are in, she doesn’t forget a mask.
