It’s quick, fuss-free and can knock years off your face in minutes – no knife needed. We asked make-up artist Cassie Lomas for her expert tips on how to master simple, everyday contouring…
Contouring is all about shaping your face and creating the illusion of light and shadow,’ says Cassie. ‘It really works on mature skin as it can add definition to areas like the lips and cheeks that may have lost a bit of volume.’ ‘Start by using a simple contouring kit, and brush some of the bronzer from underneath your cheekbones all the way up to the centre of your ears,’ says Cassie. ‘Then add a bit along your jaw line and a sweep just under the hairline on your forehead.’ ‘Once you’ve added shadow, use the highlighter in the kit and add to any areas of the face that catch light - like the tops of your cheekbones, along the edge of your cupid’s bow (this will make lips look fuller) and on your brow bones,’ says Cassie. Finish off by applying a bit of Powder Blusher, to the apples of your cheeks, and to make sure your look lasts all day, dust over a setting powder
