Double win weekend for Zendaya at the People's Choice Awards

It was a double win weekend for 23-year old Zendaya at the E! People's Choice Awards (PCAs). For the past few months, fans have been voting within the categories of movies, TV, music, pop culture and African Influencer of 2019.

Zendaya won Female Movie Star of 2019 in Spider-Man: Far From Home and Drama TV Star of 2019 in Euphoria. She was up against the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Sterling K. Brown and Lupita Nyong’o. Zendaya is a true representation of a hard-working, young black female.

In her absence, the Queen Bee herself, Beyoncé, bagged an award for Animated Movie Star of 2019 in The Lion King. Also contending for the award were Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pratt, Tiffany Haddish and Awkwafina.

There was also a category for the African Influencer of 2019. This was won by the stunning South African media personality, Bonang Matheba.

The Reality Show of 2019 award was won by a show belonging one of the most popular families on TV, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Some reality shows that were up against the winning show were Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Vanderpump Rules. Additionally, mum of one, Khloé Kardashian, won Reality Star of 2019.
