Women have today come together to stage the peaceful #mydressmychoice protest. This protest will kick off Today,11 am Freedom Corner in Uhuru park ,head to Commercial bus stop along Tom Mboya street and eventually end up at Harambee House along Harambee avenue.
The women will be protesting against incidents of women getting stripped by men in opposition to their choice of dressing. This protest is an act of women to support each other and walk for women everywhere who have gone through acts of sexual violence
Video clips of these inhuman acts, perpetrated by men, have been circulating for all and sundry to see. Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, has posted on his Facebook wall, condemning this matter, offering a reward of Ksh.100,000 to anybody giving information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the heartless suspects who stripped the young lady at the Embassava bus stage.
