Anto NeosouI: I hated my UON english lecturer, he was rich in language, but poor in character.

My Man

Which university or college did you attend?

I attended the University of Nairobi.

What did you major in?

I was in the School of Journalism, majoring in broadcast journalism. I knew that being in front of the camera or in radio would work well with my character. It just made sense  considering I was already a star in Shuga.

Your worst class was...

Economics. I am not the mathematician. I love my money but not the economics of money. Now, though, I am more concerned about the economics of money.

What was your best campus experience?

I was a bit of a star. Lecturers would come to class basically fanning out because Shuga had just premiered.

Most embarrassing campus experience...

Going to class late, a lot, because I was on set a lot either in Shuga, Teen Republik or Siri. It just looked bad and people thought it was intentional.

How were your dating experiences in college?

I dated a very beautiful girl called Nana.

Worst lecturer...

English for journalists lecturer. I once argued with him in class and he punished me by grading me poorly. He was rich in language, but poor in character.

Which hangout joints did you go to after classes?

Sno Cream. We would have ice cream until there was no traffic in town.

The hottest girl in campus was...

Maybe my girlfriend then.

What do you know now that you didn’t know then?

I would have worked and just gone for an MBA.

Biggest regret...

I was selected to join Makerere University to study Political Science. Maybe I should have challenged myself by enrolling.

If you could go back to college, what would you do differently?

I genuinely had a great time more than my peers. I wish I was more involved in campus politics. I always want to be at the helm of decision-making and I wish I participated more in helping shape the UoN politics.

What did you do after campus career wise?

I continued hosting Kenya’s biggest youth show, Teen Republik and ended up on Siri as an actor and eventually script editor and content producer.
