South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is in Kenya for a two-day State visit.

Ramaphosa is expected to hold bilateral talks with his host President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi.

During the meeting, an array of issues are expected to take centre stage, among them being the deportation of Kenyan illegal migrants and the relaxation of strict Visa requirements for Kenyans visiting South Africa.

Ruto and Ramaphosa will also exchange views on pertinent regional, continental and global issues of mutual concern including the promotion of peace, security, and stability.

Ramaphosa arrived on Tuesday, November 8, and was received by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua and his mining counterpart Salim Mvurya at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

The visit will include a business forum focusing on trade and investment between Kenya and South Africa.

The talks on Visa requirements commenced between former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ramaphosa, although Johannesburg had set conditions for Nairobi, among them, the repatriation of thousands of Kenyans who accessed South Africa illegally.

Also on the same issue, the Sh5,350 Visa processing fees for Kenyans seeking to visit SA was discussed including at least 5 days taken to process a Visa.

However, South African nationals, obtain visas on arrival in Nairobi.

This is the first bilateral visit President Ramaphosa is making to Kenya as the South African leader.
