Group Chief Executive Officer Orlando Lyomu said as a media house, The Standard has been going through a digital transformation and the Connected 2022 Summit will play a major role in the digital connectivity in this era.
The CEO spoke during the Waziri Golf Cup at the Leisure Lodge Golf and Resort in Diani, Kwale County.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to officially open the summit today and ICT ministers from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda are expected to attend.
The summit started yesterday with the Waziri Golf Cup and the innovation awards, and will in the next three days bring together industry players from private and public sectors and academia.

He said the summit brings together stakeholders to meet and discuss the future of tech in the country.
