A crippled woman has been killed in embakasi after she was knocked down by a commuter train. Eye witnesses claimed the train heading to Embakasi knocked the woman and ran over her body during the morning rush-hour when she attempted to cross the rail line at pipeline estate. Eye witnesses reported that the woman was a beggar and was attempting to cross the rail-line to reach a matatu stage. The area is usually busy in the morning hours as commuters scramble to board matatus and trains that ply the route. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and removed the body to the city mortuary.
