President Mwai Kibaki has instructed the army to secure Kenya’s borders in the north and east, in his first public address on the Todonyang’ border dispute that claimed 40 Kenyan lives earlier this month. The president says that boundary beacons that have been tampered with along the Kenyan Ethiopian border will be restored. Kibaki was speaking at Eldoret recruits training school after presiding over a passing out parade.
