Kate Ferdinand has told that she tore her stomach muscles amid her pregnancy.
The former reality TV star - who is set to welcome her first child with husband Rio Ferdinand - opened up on the painful injury whilst taking part in a Q&A with fans on Instagram on Tuesday.
She explained that the injury happened about six weeks ago and resulted in her having to rest for three weeks which she says was tough on her mind.
In response to a fan asking her how she is feeling in the final stages of her pregnancy, the natural beauty typed alongside a snap of her burgeoning bump: "I'm surprisingly not feeling too bad the last few weeks. I'm tired but have been feeling much better."
First-time mum Kate the shared: "I tore my stomach muscles 6 or so weeks ago and was on rest for 3 weeks. I found that really difficult... and my mind was all over the place!"
She continued: "So now I'm just happy and grateful I can be out and walking and doing bits and bobs around the house."
After another follower asked her if she has been exercising during her pregnancy, she told: "I have trained for the majority of my pregnancy: Pilates and light gym work.
"But after tearing my muscles I was advised to rest so I did that for 3 weeks and am now just taking it easy & walking daily as I don't want to damage anything further.
"It is advised to stay active so I'm trying to keep moving as much as possible."
Kate has packed her hospital bag as she prepares to welcome her first child and gave fans a glimpse into what she is taking with her for the tot's arrival in a social media post on Tuesday.
And alongside the adorable babygros and tiny nappies, the mum-to-be has filled her holdall with snacks for both her and ex-footballer husband Rio.
Sharing a picture of the heaving bags to Instagram, Kate joked: "The snacks are the most important thing for the hospital bag, right?"
The Only Way Is Essex alumni then explained she'd been up all night sorting her kit.
"Had one of those nights where I am up doing random stuff all night. Staring at baby clothes and packing snacks."
Along with his and her bags bulging with crisps - carefully labelled - Kate also filled a third snack bag with biscuits and sweets.
She also showed off a fluffy fake fur babygro with bunny ears, personalised with the name 'Baby Ferdy'.
"We better decide on a name soon as everything says Baby Ferdy!' she wrote.
Kate is step-mum to Rio's children Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12 and Tia, nine. She met Rio in January 2017 at a friends BBQ in Dubai, two years after his wife Rebecca died from breast cancer.
