Seven effective ways to get rid of cellulite

We all love a flawless skin, talk of the silky baby skin. But getting this perfect skin doesn’t happen easily. You need to put in work and effort before you can achieve it. When you talk about flawless skin, you find yourself mentioning cellulite and stretchmarks. Actually, cellulite is common in every body type and you shouldn’t let Instagram models deceive you as what they do is invest in good photographers with spectacular photo editing skills. So, before beating yourself up over cellulite and stretchmarks, remember everyone has either one or both.

According to healthline.com, cellulite is formed when fatty tissue deep in the skin pushes up against connective tissue. It's estimated that more than 85 percent of all women 21 years and older have cellulite.

But cellulite shouldn’t stop you from rocking that bikini while on holiday because as no one is perfect and self-confidence is sexy. We all have something we don’t like about our body and we need to learn to love our bodies and skin as they are and they’ll love us back.

i.Dry brushing

iii.Eat a healthy diet

Cellulite is caused by accumulation of fat cells under the skin. This slows down or even stops lymphatic drainage causing cellulite appearance. Consuming low fat diets and less fast foods can help reduce cellulite. You can consider consuming a lot of fiber rich foods which will help in eliminating toxins from the body.

iv.Drink water

Ensure to consume the daily recommended glasses of water a day as this actually helps minimize the visibility of cellulite. Cellulite appears worse when your body is dehydrated. This is because dehydration causes the skin to become thinner thus showing cellulite more.


The best way to reduce fat levels in the body is by exercising regularly. You can schedule at least two days every week for a workout.

Yoga is also a great relaxed less intensive work out that can help reduce fat and you can switch it up with some skipping, running or walking.


Use your favorite massage oil or essential oil to massage the affected areas. The pressure will help boost the lymphatic drainage get rid of toxins which accumulate on the fat cells under the skin.

You can also book regular massage sessions to help with this.

vii.Body wraps

Schedule for a body wrap during your next spa visit. Body wraps help tighten the skin and also smoothen out the skin. You can also consider using a body bandage to achieve these same results at the comfort of your home.
