Rihanna is the richest female musician in the world as Forbes estimates that she is now worth $1.7 billion (Sh184.8 billion).

The new figure makes her the second wealthiest female entertainer after Oprah Winfrey. However, it is not her music that has seen her become one of the richest entertainers in the world.

Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty, launched her beauty and cosmetics line – Fenty Beauty – in 2017 and it is the beauty line that has seen her enter the rare Billionaire rank. A chunk of her fortune (about $1.4 billion) is from Fenty Beauty, which, according to Forbes, she owns 50%.

The remaining fortune is from her stake in her lingerie company, Svage x Fenty, estimated to be worth $270 million (Sh29.4 billion). The rest is her career earnings as a music chart-topper and an actress.

The Bardados-born musician co-owns Fenty Beauty with the world’s second richest man, Bernard Arnault through his French luxury brand – LVMH.
