Kardashian Curse: Kendall Jenner slams 'offensive' idea, insists exes are to blame

Kendall Jenner slammed the so-called Kardashian Curse and insisted its men are to blame for the problems in their respective relationships

Kendall Jenner rejected the idea of a ‘Kardashian Curse’ during Sunday’s second part of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians: The Final Curtain reunion.

The 25-year-old model and reality TV star responded to host Andy Cohen after he brought up the idea that the women of the famous family have damaged the careers of the men they are romantically involved with.

NBA alum Lamar Odom and musical superstar Kanye West were among the most frequent examples cited amid their personal ups-and-downs, but Kendall insisted it was ‘offensive’ to make such claims.

“You guys have talked about this, it’s like the men have trouble after you.” Cohen said.

Kendall said she didn’t understand how she and her sisters could be blamed for their exes’ respective issues.

“What I don't like about this narrative is that the blame is on us,” said the supermodel. “I think the men need to take that responsibility.”

Caitlyn and Kris Jenner’s oldest daughter described her family as “extremely giving, caring and loving woman,” a trait that is extended to their loved ones.

“And when there is a man in our life that we like, give everything to them, and as a family we love him so much,” Kendall said. “It’s almost offensive, personally.”

Kendall’s relatives stepped in to support her claims, as Kim downplayed any idea that Kanye West had struggled, saying that the Grammy-winning artist was “doing pretty well,” while Kylie noted that her beau, rapper Travis Scott, “is doing great".

Mum Kris Jenner noted that amid their relationships, their partners achieved huge feats including two NBA championships (amid Khloe Kardashian's relationship with former Los Angeles Laker Odom) and a Super Bowl (referring to Scott's performance in 2019 at the big game).

“Of course, factually, that doesn't match,” said Kendall.

Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick was in attendance for the reunion, who said he doesn’t believe there is any curse associated with the famous family.

Kendall admitted she tends to keep her romantic tangles private after seeing the scrutiny of her older sisters in their romances.

"Kylie and I had the opportunity to watch our older sisters go through marriage, relationships and breakup and that stuff, and do it quite publicly,” she said. “And no offence to the guys, but I think it was a personal preference from a very young age that I didn’t want.”

She said it feels her life is a lot easier "and our relationships a lot better, to be completely honest", noting: “It’s a private matter, it’s really no one else to judge or to know.

Kendall Jenner is currently linked to Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker and has previously been linked to Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons.
