Akothee bags big win at AFRIMMA Awards

Madam Boss aka Akothee bagged the Best Female Artist in East Africa at the 2019 Africa Muzik Magazine Awards.

“Collected this Award with pride & Love on your behalf, ???. Without you I would not be Akothee,” she wrote to her fans on Instagram.

The Rollam star also wowed the night’s attendees with a stunning performance.

“Like I always said, just do you, you never know who is watching. Awards are signs of appreciation, and I am humbled to represent you too. I appreciate and love you big,” she continued.

Fans and celebrities alike showered her with congratulatory messages.

One fan wrote, “Congrats madam boss?????…cheers to more and more success.?? We are behind you ?????”

“The fruits of Hardwork passion talent and the Xfactor.... congrats Mama! ???????????? Hapo Sawa,” Nameless wrote.

“Congratulations mama yao,” said Radio Maisha’s Mwende Macharia.

Other female artists who took the night include DJ Poison Ivy who won Best African DJ USA, Sho Madjozi for Best Female Southern Africa, Aya Nakamura took Best Female West Africa, Daphne for Best Female Central Africa and Mercy Chinwo for Best Gospel Artist.
