President Uhuru Kenyatta invited the five finalists of the MS President Reality show to the podium during the grand opening of the Bidco Industrial Park in Ruiru. The finalists took the moment to drum up support ahead of the show’s grand finale.
President Uhuru had presided over the official launch of the Sh20 billion ultra-modern complex situated in Kiambu County.
Introducing the contestants, Uhuru said that he had asked them to accompany him to the launch to give them a practical touch of the duties of a president.
The contestants had earlier visited the President and interviewed him on various matters pertaining to his seat as the head of state.
As viewers anticipate the show’s grand finale on July 31, the contestants are on the finale stretch in the hunt for votes with each and every one of them who spoke asking Kenyans to vote them as the first female President.
The contestants had the ultimate Presidential Debate yesterday, July 24, where they spoke on matters national policy, governance and current affairs.
The MS President Reality show premiered on January 30 this year with an aim of empowering women and girls to be leaders in peace building and prevent the spread of violent extremism and radicalization.
To vote, viewers send SMS of the name of the contestant there are voting for followed by the contestant’s code to SMS code 22840. The finalists are Waruguru wa Kiai (Kiai019), Betty Odera (Betty047), Irene Mayaka (Renee046), Nereah Amondi Oketch (Nereah043) and Umulkheir Mohammed (Umi007).
