Women’s sex appetite is scaring men off

A young woman, not quite 21, recently seduced me openly, promising to give me the sex of my life. She may have been drunk, but her propositioning to me was made in full consciousness, to my befuddled male friends.

See, I'm as tall as they come. And when you are tall and you spot a clean shave, you can be a magnet to women. If in a social environment and people are inebriated, it can be worse. My friends are equally tall and drunk women have a habit of describing them as handsome, or funny even though they are as funny and charming as a wet rag.

I sympathized with the girl. For starters, I'm very stingy. Jomo Kenyatta will resurrect before I can offer a woman I'm not interested in a drink. Secondly, I'm very poor in small talk, especially with women. I normally have this irresistible urge to talk about China's relationship with Taiwan, and economic prospects of Kazakhstan. I also love talking about the anthropological melting pot that is Papua New Guinea. These topics have a way of inducing yawns from women. But I don't watch enough Kardashians, or any trashy Hollywood series to sustain a shallow conversation that many women I know favour.

But the girl was undeterred. I can't disclose what followed, but it had the capacity to shake your faith in humanity.

Me and my friends are in that age where we attract women from both spectrums; younger ones in college and older ones inching fast towards 45. And in our forays in the corporate sector, in bars and night clubs, traveling in public buses have become a bit scary. The number of times women hit on us, is a bit unsettling.

Even sad, we are the last traditional generation that believes in hunting. But women no longer have the patience. Nowadays, you can have your drink in a club in peace without some women offering to give a lap dance of your life. Barring those out to spike your drink, there are still many women who give strangers such a raunchy dance that they leave high and wet.

Welcome to Nairobi, 2017. I have been observing this over the years. I used to allow some of this permissiveness, thinking that cities are supposed to liberal, rotten and immoral, but it is getting out of hand. Social media has made it worse. Now any man with some disposable income has so many women at his disposal, he is spoilt for choice. And it is not funny. Women are not making it easier for themselves.

Women are now empowered. Most have money, that makes it easy for them to hunt for the kind of meat they want. Those in their 30s are very deliberate in the places they go hunting for men and they know a thing or two about positioning themselves to prospective men. The danger of dealing with such, is that they can use and dump you in the most callous way without any trace or hint of guilt. I have met many men who told a one night-stand with an old woman is not what is cracked up to be. Being thrown out of a woman's house at 6.07 a.m in the morning in a chilly July, is not cool. Yet, once these women get what they want, they hardly care if you will catch pneumonia when they throw out.  

Also, older women can be dangerous when they become possessive, sensing there is always an existential threat from the younger and more nubile women.

But what women don't know about hunting, hunters hate dead meat. If you stumble upon a dead antelope, you will not be quick to pick it. What killed it? Could it be disease or poison. Equally, if you were chasing prey and it was too as a sport, you don't enjoy savouring it. Yet that is how women have become. They say yes even before you ask. There is no incentive to even work hard anymore to attract a woman.

There is an oversupply of many eligible women who are too willing to give in without the least resistance. That has made dating so unattractive. No wonder most men are now into betting, video games, toys, and some even going gay. I mean, the allure of women is totally gone.

You meet a woman, who in the first hour has narrated her favourite sexual styles, the number of boyfriends she has slept with and man, it is not flattering.

I'm for the old way of doing things. Things were better when you could seduce a woman and deal with all her emotional bureaucracy, and insecurities until the ultimate winning of lowering her pants.

I can only pine for the old days.
