Hair is every woman’s treasure and many women (and some men) are keen on stimulating hair growth or even thickening their hair.

There are natural oils that are very important and natural for our hair. Today, we will look into 5 oils that could naturally give you long healthy hair.

Coconut oil: Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids that nourish and moisturize the scalp and hair. Pure coconut oil solidifies at cool temperatures but can be heated to take it back to its liquid form. It has a strong smell and some people do add jasmine flowers to eliminate this smell.

This oil has antioxidants and nutrients to improve your hair's softness and luster. It is rich in vitamin E, vitamin K and iron and effectively eliminates dandruff while boosting hair growth. Coconut Oil is antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral due to the presence of medium chain fatty acids. For this reason it can prevent hair loss or scalp conditioners as a result of bacteria or fungus build-up on the scalp. You can apply coconut oil to your hair or scalp after shampooing.

You can also pre-poo with coconut oil. This means you warm the oil, apply and massage it into hair and scalp, put on a shower cap for 30 min or overnight for best results. Gently rinse with shampoo. Don’t over-shampoo though as you will strip off natural hair oils.

Castor oil: Apply castor oil to your hair ends after shampooing or co-washing your hair. Let your hair dry with the castor oil. This oil is very thick and you can mix it with another oil of your choice.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil is a cleansing and purifying oil that comes from tea tree leaves. By diluting tea tree oil with a carrier oil and massaging into the scalp, you can stimulate hair growth. Tea tree oil can also be used for spot treatments for acne breakouts. It’s a healthier option than using acne skin products containing alcohol and other drying agents.

Rosemary Oil: This oil stimulates the scalp to promote hair growth. If you have a problem with hair growing on your scalp especially your edges, then this is the miracle oil for you.

Aloe-Vera Oil: This oil aids in promoting hair growth, it aids in production of new hair. It helps in promoting hair growth .It also reduces dandruff, the natural enzymes in Aloe Vera can soothe and moisturize the scalp, helping to eliminate the scaly dryness that causes dandruff. It also helps to increase blood circulation in the scalp, which works to stimulate the production of moisturizing oils. Aloe Vera acts as a natural conditioning agent that restores the hair’s sheen, luster, and shine.

Now you can say bye bye to expensive products that causes product build up on your hair. Investing in these natural oils can make all the difference to your hair.
