Old? Not me...

It is incredible to know that age lacks the capability to hold us hostage.

For instance, a woman in her mid-30s, with a couple of children to take care of might feel that age is a hindrance to her achieving some goals. She may think that motherhood has made her too busy to find time for herself.

She has many issues to deal with like her post birth tummy, taking care of the baby and maybe hubby too.

 You deserve to look and feel good. Refresh your wardrobe, remove all maternity dresses and hit the gym. Go to the spa and the mall to spoil yourself. Fish out that good pair of heels you hid in your closet long ago. Make age bow its head in shame.

The list is still in your mind. Start doing them. If it is rock climbing, surfing, or cooking an exquisite dish with a cookbook guiding you, whatever it is, the time is now. Your age should not be a setback for your search for a new lease of life.

If all you did is raising your children, this one is for you. Perhaps being a housewife has been a blessing to you, but you secretly dream of going back to school to get a degree. If the children are all grown up and you have the money, there is nothing to stop you from pursuing your dreams. Not even your age.

Your drive, passion and energy may be so high, people keep telling you that you are too young to be that ambitious. Ignore such voices and keep doing your thing.

It is not late for any woman to start things afresh either. It could be that you spent years of your life making mistakes, thinking of yourself alone, taking life for granted… Being alive and resolving to change is enough. You can always turn your life around anytime. Live your life and enjoy to the fullest. Move over age, I have a life to lead.
