There comes a time, such as during heartbreak, when a girl needs all her true friends around her.

These friends can safely be named ‘the army against the enemy’. The ‘enemy’ can either be the most recent ex or somebody heading towards that road, only that the girl is too weak to let go.

Of course, this snitch should not be any of your exes or a suitor.

We love to argue with this know-it-all friend. This same friend will enlighten you a lot on what you go through and how to survive it. She will back up all that she says with sensible facts.  Worthwhile advice is what she has in store.

The Teacher Wanjiku Friend

Laughter is the best medicine. Whether it is medicine to heal a broken heart or not, one thing is for sure, you are going to need an overdose. Get a date with this type of friend.

You will need to keep your social life exciting. You don’t want to be bored to tears and make the ‘enemy’ think that you will never be happy without him.

Worry not; this type of friend is social and always ready to bring some excitement into your life. She will go with you to any social function you suggest. She is the fun type.

 The Gloria Muliro Friend

This friend is there whenever you want to complain about how much you miss your ex. You can freely tell her anything that is on your mind. You know she will not view you differently. She listens as you vow not to cry, yet she does not remind you how many times you have soaked her shoulders.

 Keep your friends close and this tough army even closer, because even the most muscular of men cannot defeat girl power.
