Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi had vowed to find true love in the second season of Wife Material scheduled to air soon. Speaking during a recent interview with media personality Massawe Japanni, the witty celebrity stated that despite the show being scripted and choreographed, he had a good chance at finding true love among the contestants.

"I am doing season two, and since I'm targeting 40 seasons, I realized even though I was doing it as a scripted show, I can actually meet my wife through that process.

"My birthday will be on 9th March, I cannot go into 2022 without a wife and a child. The country cannot get a new president and I fail to get a wife, impossible," he said.

For the second season of Wife Material, Eric revealed that the contestants would consist of ladies aged 23 years and above from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. According to the African King of Comedy Award, his exes, media personality Jacque Maribe and Chantal Grazioli, will be making a debut at some point in the show to chat with the final five contestants.

"The cameras will be rolling 24/7 and every other area will have a camera except the bathroom and the bedroom. So I will trust my fans to vote till I am left with five ladies, then from there on will bring on my exes, Maribe and Chantal, to talk to the girls," he went on.

However, Chantal was quick to distance herself from claims that she would be part of the romantic show. Responding to a local entertainment site that published the story of her involvement, Chantal clarified that she would not be making an appearance on the show terming the statement as fake news.

"Fake news, I will not be appearing in wife material," she said.

"There are, two-to-three, clients who called me at the time Wife Material and told me I was on the precipice - what I was doing was enough. I lost a lot. They said, 'Our product is family-oriented. We do not know what you are doing with your brand- kissing girls," he shared.

Other than losing his sponsors, Eric became a victim of trolling after a section of online users, including the Kenya Film Classification Board chairman, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, accused him of using his show to take advantage of young women.

"So there's Corona, but this fool has been kissing multiple girls and recording these videos in the name of comedy. Another morally bankrupt socialite is recording more videos teaching these young girls how to have sex with Omondi in the devilish mentorship program known as "Mombasa Raha." The facility in Lavington that was opened with hype ostensibly as a studio is nothing short of a brothel," stated Mutua.
