Kenya Film and Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has called for the arrest of comedian Eric Omondi over his YouTube show Wife Material. Through his social media handles, the KFCB boss accused the comedian of running a brothel in the name of a mentorship program.

According to Mutua, Eric is committing a crime because the studio he opened is used to exploit girls. He called upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to look into the matter and have the comedian arrested.

"So there's Corona but this fool has been kissing multiple girls and recording these videos in the name of comedy. Another morally bankrupt socialite is recording more videos teaching these young girls how to have sex with Omondi in the devilish mentorship program known as "Mombasa Raha." The facility in Lavington that was opened with hype ostensibly as a studio is nothing short of a brothel. It's a place where girls are being sexually abused and degraded in the name of art.

"The fact that women rights groups are quiet when this is happening and the police have not arrested the perpetrators of these obvious crimes is evidence of how low we have sunk as a society. By the time we get tired and stop condoning this nonsense the damage will be too bad to repair. The DCI should immediately move into that brothel in Lavington and arrest the criminals doing these things to our girls in the name of art!" Mutua said.

However, this is not the first time the KFCB boss has criticized Eric's show asking the comedian to respect himself.

"People are doing all manner of staff, including some people like Eric Omondi, Unashangaa huyu ni mwendawazimu gani, kuna heshima gani unajionesha kwa video kwa njai ambayo haifai na wewe ni mtu mzima. Na unasema ati wewe ni King of Comedy Afrika."

In response, Eric asked the 'moral cop' to stop using his name for PR and focus on helping struggling youth in the creative industry.

"Stop using my name for these cheap PUBLICITY stunt. I have never understood exactly what you do for a living. You have not helped the Entertainment Industry in any way. So you flew all the way to Mombasa to do this Press conference, hiyo Pesa ungenipatia niongeze nazo Cameras Kwa Studio zangu so that we shoot more videos for young talented Kenyans," said Eric.

Wife Material winner

Ezekiel Mutua's call for arrest comes hours after Eric announced the show's winner, with Carol from BandBeca music group being Kenyans choice. A few weeks ago, Eric asked Kenyans to help him find a suitable woman to marry and settle down. The comedian stated that his career was progressing well but was hopeless when it came to love and needed to find someone to start a family.

Announcing the winner, Eric said, "CONGRATULATIONS CAROL @bandbeca You are an AMAZING woman! Beautiful Inside and out. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you and make beautiful babies. I am the luckiest man on this planet. To all the ladies who participated in the #WifeMaterial I can never say THANK YOU enough.

We made so many beautiful memories and it doesn't end here. WE ARE NOW FAMILY and I hope you all make it for the wedding. Finally, I want to say a BIG thank you to Kenyans for walking with me through this journey and for helping me get a wife. Asanteni sanaa #WifeMaterial."
