Four people have escaped unhurt after a light aircraft crash-landed at the Nairobi National Park on Wednesday mid-morning.

According to Langa'ta OCPD Monica Kimani, the plane's engine failed shortly after takeoff from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

The light aircraft, a Cessna registration number 5YBWE crash landed at the Nairobi National Park, meters away from the Southern Bypass.

"None of them has been injured, just slight bruises and they have been airlifted by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and taken to Wilson Airport for medical checkup," Kimani told The Standard on phone.

The occupants included three trainees and the captain.

At the time of publishing, police, a team from KWS, and fire engines were at the scene to assess and contain the situation.

The airplane belongs to Flight Star Academy, a flying school.
