Why too much exercise is dangerous for you

Working out is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Exercise helps keep our bodies strong and our minds sharp. However, there comes a point when your body is tired of working out and it sends you cues to slow down or completely take a break.

But many ignore it. The assumption is, something that is so good could never possibly ever turn out to be dangerous or harmful. But like everything in life, you should do it in moderation.

Once you start feeling sore and the discomfort does not go, you should examine your body. Of course, a little bit of soreness after a workout is normal but if you find that you are sore all the time, it is a sign that your body is not recovering properly.

This could be a result of overtraining, which can lead to injuries and other health problems. No matter how badly you want to reach those body goals you better stop before the situation escalates.

And if the reason you cannot take it easy is that you are not seeing any progress despite working out consistently and you are still not seeing any changes in your body composition or performance, it could be a sign that your body is tired of the same old routine.

Mixing up your workout routine can help jumpstart your progress and keep things interesting. It may also be a good idea to work with a professional trainer who is more versed with matters physical.

If you find yourself running out of breath and always tired, something is amiss. Exercise is supposed to give you energy, not drain you of it. And regardless of how much rest you get even after a good night's sleep and you still feel some fatigue, it could be a sign that you are overdoing it. Rest and recovery are just as important as the exercise itself.

Another common sign we tend to ignore is constantly getting sick. The right physical activities should boost your immune system but too much of it can have the opposite effect.

If you find that you are constantly getting sick or experiencing colds and flu-like symptoms, again, you could be pushing yourself too much and not allowing your body to recover properly.

And if you do not watch it, you will start losing interest in working out altogether. Exercise should be fun and rewarding, not a chore. So when you have lost your motivation and dread going to the gym you need to take a break and reevaluate your workout goals.
