How to access the 2020 KCSE results

The 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results are finally out. According to the KNEC CEO Mercy Karogo, 747, 171 candidates sat the exam across 10, 567 examination centres.

Speaking at Mitihani House, Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha said all students would be enrolled in higher education and tertiary institutions through KUPPS.

"I have directed KUCCPS to ensure proper public mobilization and communication put in place to ensure all interested candidates to colleges and TVET institutions of their choice,” said CS George Magoha.

The Education CS also added that KCPE and KCSE 2021 will be held in March 2022.

Out of the students who sat the exams, CS Magoha says 893 candidates scored A (Plain) compared to 627 in 2019, while 143,140 candidates scored C+ and above.

Candidates who sat the exams can access their results by sending an SMS with the Index Number followed by KCSE (in capital letters) to 20076.

Kindly note there should be no spacing between the Index Number and the KCSE initials. You will also be charged Sh25 for the SMS.

The candidates can also access their results by visiting the KNEC portal later in the day when it will be updated.
