Season 2 of Sauti Sol reality show Sol Family officially premiered last night on Showmax.

Unlike Season 1, the new season will focus more into the love life of Sauti Sol band members as well as that of their Sol Generation record label artistes Bensoul and Nviiri The Story Teller.

Flanked by their spouses during the official launch of the show yesterday in Nairobi, the band noted that this season will be more of a family reality show.

On the part of the producer of the show Eugene Mbugua, Sauti Sol fans shouldn't expect drama from the reality show.

"We trying to get away from the dramas that are associated with reality TV show. We walking away from realty TV shows toxicity. Season 2 will be more of family, where we get to see Polycarp and Mandy journey into parenthood, we get to know a little bit more of Savara and his girlfriend, Bien's marriage and also introduce the lives of Nviiri and Bensoul. We will also take you deeper into Chimano's closet" Mbugua stated.

Season 2 of Sol Family reality show is expected to run for 20 episodes.
