Ed Sheeran: From being ruthlessly rejected at audition to earning Sh20 million per day

Ed Sheeran tried to win a part in ITV musical series Britannia High, that aired back in 2008, but he was unsuccessful due to his awkward dance moves.

Ed Sheeran being harshly rejected by dance guru Arlene Phillips, before his rise to fame, has been revealed in an unearthed video clip. The singer-songwriter, 29, is unrecognisable in the footage - apart from his bright red head of hair - as he tries to impress the choreographer in a bid to win a part on ITV musical series Britannia High, which aired back in 2008. Teenager Ed can be seen attempting to showcase his best dance moves in the awkward clip - which was captured as part of a behind-the-scenes special - to Justin Timberlake's hit Like I Love You. In the bid to bag the best cast for the show a judging panel, headed up by Arlene, scouted for talent at the UK's top-performing arts schools.
