Kim Kardashian overwhelmed as she films final KUWTK episode

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she and her famous family are filming their final episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians today. The reality TV star, 40, and the Kardashian-Jenner fans announced in 2020 that this year will see their partnership with TV channel E! come to end after 20 seasons.

Giving fans a glimpse at behind the scenes of the series - that has aired for 14 years and led to the Kardashian clan become the most famous family in the world - Kim shared footage of herself having a microphone fitted as she prepared to step in front of the camera to film the last episode of the series.

Proving that she found the moment overwhelming, she penned: "Last filming day of Keeping up With The Kardashians ever!" The message that included a crying face emoji was accompanied by a video of a crew member kitting her out with a microphone. She added: "Erin’s been [our] audio tech for 14 years!!" Kim also shared a snap of a pile of microphones labelled with her and her family members' names.

Fans of the Kardashians were heartbroken when Kim announced, last year, that KUWTK will end in 2021. She broke the news by writing: "To our amazing fans - It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years - through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.”

“We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way. Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives. Our last season will air early next year in 2021."

Just three months after saying that they had all decided to to "live their lives without our cameras" news broke that streaming service Hulu, which is owned by Disney, signed a deal with Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, their mother Kris Jenner and half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner to create new content that will stream on Hulu in the United States and in multiple countries overseas.

It is not yet known whether the brood, who have tens of millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter, will appear on screen under the multi-year deal. Kim is reportedly having a tough time of late and has reportedly instructed a lawyer to start negotiating terms of divorce from her rapper husband Kanye West, 43.

Page Six has reported that a “divorce is imminent” for the Hollywood couple, with Kim hiring Laura Wasser, who has been a divorce lawyer for the stars. A source has told them: "They are keeping it low-key but they are done. Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”

It has been reported that Kim has stopped wearing her wedding ring while Kanye takes an extended break at his $14 million ranch. The source added: "Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done.”

Kim has been a big supporter of her husband while he deals with his mental health issues, but the source has indicated that this support has reached a final destination. They added: "Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot. She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile, Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s***, and she’s just had enough of it.”
