On 24th December 2017, Tahmeed bus company with its fleet plying Mombasa-Nairobi launched 12 all VIP buses valued at Sh312 Million to catch up with Standard Gauge Railways (SGR).
The 37 seater luxury buses comes with two in one seat designs all installed with air conditioners to keep it cool as passengers cruise to the coast and other East African countries, first of its kind among those plying same route.
