Woman smashes rival’s head with soda bottle

Two women in Kericho County turned local serene Moi Gardens into a bloody battle ground over a man.

Narrating the genesis of the Thursday afternoon incident to curious members of the public  who stopped them from tearing each other into pieces, one of the women claimed that she was the legal wife of the man in question.

“I have lived with this man for five years. Ee even have two children to show for it,” the fuming woman said.

She further said that she had just set the table for lunch when her husband received a call from a woman telling him that she was already at the a venue that they had earlier on planned and agreed on. He immediately pushed the plates away and dashed out of the house to attend to something ‘urgent’.

Suspecting that that her husband – a guard with a local security firm – and the caller were up to some hunky punky, the angry woman decided to track him down. She secretly stalked him to the venue and indeed a big scandal was afoot.

Instincts

“I had been previously tipped off that my man was fooling around with some woman. Indeed my instincts made me strongly believe that all was not well with my marriage. I mean why would a man bolt out of his house in the middle of a meal in the name of ‘an emergency’?” the man’s wife posed.

She disclosed that her stalking lead her to the cool Moi gardens usually preferred by lounging local college students and other young couples.

As the man together with his secret lover were beneath a tree shed enjoying their date at the garden, sodas in hand, his real wife arrived at the scene.

Before she could say a word, her amorous man sped off leaving his poor clandestine lover behind to face the music.

“I was shocked and gotten off guard when some fuming woman turned up and asked what I was doing with her husband, before picking up the bottle of soda I was taking and smashed it on my forehead” the victim said.

The angry ‘wife’ not only accused her rival of trying to snatch her husband but also of risking her life because of the many dieases that are present today.

But the unapologetic victim dismissed her rivals’ claims and maintained that she was the true lover of the man they were fighting over.

“Wacha arudi, tutajua nani ndie mpenzi wake kwa sababu kama anakupenda sana wewe kwa nini akanitafuta (lets wait for him to return to know who he truly loves. If indeed he was your man, why does he keep looking for me)?” she asked as good Samaritans were giving her first aid.

She declared that the war was not over, “Ngoja tu nipone ndio utanitambua mimi ni nani (wait until my wounds gets healed, you will know what I’m made of),” she warned.

Police who arrived at the scene took the wounded woman to Kericho District Dospital. Her assailant was placed under arrest.
