Overstretched facilities at Kakuma as asylum seekers increase

The continued inflow of asylum seekers in instability-affected Central African countries is posing an infrastructural challenge at the Kakuma refugee camp in Turkana County.

Lack of space means that about 1,600 families currently sheltered at Kitale ASK Showground would not be moved amid increasing humanitarian concerns.
