
Local celebrities have come out to support the community after violence that erupted in various parts of Nairobi.
Radio personality and musician Njambi Koikai, who was born and raised in Kawangware, has rallied behind families affected by post-election chaos by donating foodstuff and blankets.
Koikai, who has remained vocal in calling for peace through her social media platforms, teamed up with former Starehe parliamentary aspirant Boniface Mwangi.
Musician Octopizzo (Henry Ohanga), who hails from Kibera, has also thrown his weight behind his community that was adversely affected by the post-election protests.
Octopizzo not only donated toys to children in Kibera but also rallied support for those in dire need. He has been vocal about the need for police to allow peaceful demonstrations.
