Machakos clergy wants opposition to respect Presidency

A group of clergy drawn from Machakos, Kitui and Makueni counties have strongly condemned the recent disrespectful utterances by a section of political leaders saying that the office of the President should be respected.

Gospel Confirmation Center (GCC) bishop Charles Kababu, who read the statement on behalf of the clergy during a press conference at a Machakos hotel stated that the recent utterances coming from the political divide in the country should be toned down as it may cause conflict just like the one that led to 2007/08 chaos.
