Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho (pictured) has announced his government will soon start removing salt from Indian Ocean water and supplying it to households. Mr Joho said advertisements had already been put up in search of firms with the knowledge of cleaning salty water. The county is currently in the grips of a drought, worsening the perennial water shortage. Parts of Mombasa like Changamwe and Jomvu have not had piped water for a month
