Oriwo Boys' High School to know fate of KCSE results in 30 days, says KNEC

Oriwo Boys' High School candidates will know their fate in 30 days.

All students who sat the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination at the school in Rachuonyo North did not get their results.

In a letter to the principal, the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) said the school was still under investigations.

"The results of all candidates at Oriwo Boys High have been withheld on suspicion that they may have engaged in examination irregularities during the conduct of the examination," said Knec Chief Executive Officer David Njengere.

Dr Njengere instructed the principal, Maurice Akal, to communicate the message to the candidates.

During the release of KCSE results on Saturday by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, there was anxiety after the students, parents and teachers failed to access the results through the official code numbers.

The Knec communication means the results could be release or cancelled.

Oriwo has been one of the academic giants in the county.
