Ann Peggy hired to lead Coast hotel

PrideInn Group of Hotels has hired Ann Peggy as new General Manger for its flagship hotel at the Coast PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Convention Centre & Spa in Shanzu, Mombasa.

She is the first woman to hold the senior position since the hotel opened its doors to the public three years ago.

The former Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort General Manager has since joined Pride Inn Group.

She will be tasked with creating a new vision for the beach resort and setting direction to capture a wide range of the market from luxury travelers to free independent travelers, meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions (MICE).

“Ann’s extensive industry knowledge and multifaceted skills in various hotel functions, will prove to be a great asset in driving business growth at PrideInn Paradise,” said Hasnain Noorani, Managing Director, PrideInn Group.

“Her dynamic leadership abilities and passion for the role will be instrumental in delivering a great product and outstanding service to guests,” added Mr. Noorani.

Ms. Peggy will oversee operations and all round performance of the 250 room multi-million shilling Mombasa property. 

With 17 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Ms. Peggy holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Management College of South Africa and an Advanced Certificate in management studies at Mancosa.

She has also undertaken advanced professional training in management development programmes from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration, USA.

Prideinn Hotel Group plans to venture into tented camps or lodges later in the year under its expansion plans.  

“We are rapidly growing our footprint across Kenya and East Africa and I look forward to driving the expansion plans within East Africa,” said Mr. Noorani.

 Ms. Peggy has previously worked with hospitality brands such as Sarova hotels, Leisure Lodge and Leopard Beach Resort.
