A troop of baboons perches on rooftops and roams freely around homes in Naka Estate, Nakuru County.

The primates who stray from the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, have increasingly become a nuisance raiding kitchens, snatching fruits, and intimidating residents.

Locals say while such visits are not new, the current wave feels more like a takeover.
