The government has warned against sabotaging the ongoing electricity-generating projects in Olkaria, Naivasha sub-county.

According to Naivasha Assistant County Commissioner Fred Masingila, stern action will be taken against anyone suspected of what he termed economic sabotage.

He was speaking at a public participation meeting in Kamere ahead of the construction of the Olkaria VII power plant.

It will generate an estimated 140MW of electricity to serve the Naivasha industrial park.
