National Youth Service Staff in Court over murder

Two employees of the National Youth Service (NYS) have been arraigned in court over the murder of two casual labourers in April.

The employees of Lambwe NYS Development Unit in Suba South were charged with the murder of Hesbon Nyamweya and Geoffrey Ochoki on April 28 at Nyadenda in Ruma.

The court was told that the two collaborated with other people who were not in the court to commit the heinous act.

However, Michael Adhemba and Albert Kipchirchir did not take pleas after Justice Joseph Karanja ruled that they undertake age and mental assessments.

They will return to court on Monday to take plea.

Ochoki and Nyamweya were brutally killed brutally over loss of the area NYS boss’s mobile phone.

They were assaulted in the camp before they lost their lives.
