Nigerian woman arrested at JKIA with heroin concealed in plastic bottles containing milk

Police at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) are holding a Nigerian National after she was found trafficking drugs believed to be heroin.

Princess Okoye aged 25 was arrested with 77 pellets of suspected narcotics concealed in plastic bottles containing milk.

Upon being placed under observation, she emitted an additional 15 Pellets.

Police said the drug trafficker was intercepted as she prepared to board a plane to Italy and she remains under observation as investigations continue. She will be presented in court to allow police hold her as she is being observed.

Cases of drug trafficking are on the decline due to security agencies’ vigilance. Most traffickers have resorted to using roads for the business.

Meanwhile, police are looking for a gang that raided a private residence in Gigiri area and robbed the owner of his pistol and 120 rounds of ammunition, assorted jewellery, laptops and CCTV camera decoder and cash.

The two armed men were wearing balaclava when they raided the home of the 75-year-old businessman at the weekend. The gang escaped without injuring anyone.

Police suspect the gang had prior information on the presence of the weapon and jewellery in the house. A hunt on the suspects is ongoing, police said.
