Former President Daniel Moi discharged from Hospital

Former President Daniel arap Moi (pictured), 94 was on Monday evening discharged from Nairobi Hospital.

Moi was admitted to the hospital last Thursday for a routine medical check-up.

His physician Dr David Silverstein said he was treated for a bout of flu blamed on chilly weather conditions.

He added that he was responding well to treatment and needed time to rest.

Baringo Senator Gideon last week thanked Kenyans for their prayers and goodwill messages.

The Senator spoke during the 14th Kabarak University graduation ceremony which he presided as the university pro-chancellor. He was stepping in for Moi who is the university chancellor.
